SPECIAL FEATURES: KING POWER HK

In Mainland China, King Power Group (HK), through subsidiary Orient King Power, has concluded a period of significant refurbishment to its operations at Shanghai Pudong International Airport’s domestic Terminal 1. “There have been several new

openings at Pudong, and we continue to grow our Orient King Power business there,” updates Tuli. “The domestic terminal business is good for us, and this is something we have been focusing on. “Our General Manager there,

Mackintosh Feng, has put in a great effort in developing this business, and I would like to commend him and his team for doing a brilliant job.”

to a likely tender for the duty paid business at the new Satellite Hall, which was understood in conversations that took place at the time (May) to occur after a tender for the entire duty free business had concluded. The expiry of the duty free

contracts covering Shanghai Pudong and Hongqiao Airports earlier this year had fuelled speculation that a tender for that business was on the horizon. As it transpired, CDFG made a

bid ahead of the 12 July deadline, as reported by TRBusiness.

Satellite Hall will be approximately 28,000sq m, with tax paid retail and F&B areas developed around a ‘Shanghai shopping’ theme. Retail and catering areas will

occupy around 19,000sqm, including 5,000sq m for international retail and 4,900sq m for domestic retail over a mixed floor of domestic departures and arrivals, international departure and mezzanine floors. A lot is happening at King Power
