Tethered Practice Description:


Everyone needs to practice a scoop capsize one pair at a time with a bow line tethered to the boat from the dock. Te instructor has to make sure everyone can capsize before the entire group goes sailing.


60 On-Water Game: Obstacle Course Description:


Students will perform a variety of assigned maneuvers at each buoy.


1. Set a course; A triangle, square or diamond will work best. 2. As sailors round each mark, announce specific skills they must perform.


Examples: “Round mark 1 twice”. “Capsize and recover at mark two”. “Sail backwards from mark three to mark four”.
