URBEX IMAGES GET A NEW LIFE
Three unique new cowhide designs have now joined the Mineheart rug collection, created by artist Furio Brigo. The photographer, based in Veneto, Italy, is incredibly passionate
PERFIT’S MOSAICS MAKE QUITE A SPLASH
about Urbex - the photography of abandoned places. The designs in this collection include images taken inside a forgotten church and in an abandoned mental hospital. The new rugs in this collection are called In Nomine Patris, Asylum 2 and Asylum 22. The designs are rubber-backed in order to prevent slipping, and are both washable and hard-wearing.

Daltile has launched its Perfit Mosaix collection, which they say offers custom elegance in a striking 18 grouping that “perfectly fits most kitchen backsplashes”. The collection offers designs crafted from either natural stone or that combined with glass to create elements that bring beauty to any space, the company said. Carlos Chiu, senior product manager, said: “The 24 unique stone mosaics represent chic Art Deco designs, enticing geometries and playful, yet elegant, expressive shapes.”

UNIFAM, Spain’s Alicante-based carpet and rug association, will present products from 10 member companies. The association has been a regular at DOMOTEX for the past 26 years. Visitors will recall in 2021 its public-focused research processes that not only looked at sustainability, but animal welfare and its development of the groundbreaking Vegan Carpet initiative.
