He is Sweden’s leading trend-spotter and, say those in the know, the most influential. He is also part of an array of speakers lined up for Domotex which is why we grabbed him for a few questions

Stefan Nilsson is widely regarded as one of the most infl uential fi gures on the Scandinavian design scene. Although mainly based in Stockholm, Sweden, he travels extensively all over the world, looking for the latest innovations on a wide range of lifestyle-centric topics. His presence at DOMOTEX will not see him in unfamiliar territory. He estimates he attends around 20 trade shows and design fairs a year. He is also well-known as a regular TV guest on various Scandinavian


shows as well as radio and features in a wide range of magazines. Besides his constant travel schedule, he also fi nds time to run Designgalleriet, a design scene in Stockholm for emerging talents in fashion, interiors, graphic design, architecture and craft. Like other speakers representing various sectors, from retail to politics, he will be off ering a holistic view of the challenges of sustainable design.
