Peritext • Book cover/Clúdach an leabhair
Look at the cover illustration and the title. What do you see? What do you think the story might be about? What do you notice?
• Back cover/Clúdach cúil an leabhair
Look at the back cover. What can you see? What is the difference between the front and the back cover? Why might that be?
• Blurb/Blurba
Tá ocras ar an vaimpír, Ladaslás. Ach tá a chuid fiacla maol, agus níl sé in ann plaic a bhaint as duine ar bith. Níl saol éasca ag an vaimpír!
Féach ar an gclúdach cúil. Cad í an difríocht idir an clúdach tosaigh agus an clúdach cúil? Cén fáth sin?
Féach ar an bpictiúr ar an gclúdach agus ar ainm an leabhair. Cad a fheiceann tú? Cad a tharlaíonn sa scéal seo, meas tú? Cad a thugann tú faoi deara?

PE Lesson as Gaeilge
‘Éist agus Rith’ Instructions This is based on the game ‘Fruitbowl’:
The whole class sits on the floor in a circle. Each child is assigned a specific fruit. When the teacher calls out a piece of fruit, all of the ‘apples’ must jump up and run around the outside of the circle and back to their original spot.
