Half the workforce are now travelling on business

NEW RESEARCH SHOWS that nearly half of UK workers are regularly travelling for business, and one-third report they are taking 50 per cent more trips than in the past.

A survey of 2,000 British business travellers by hotel firm Travelodge also found that 46 per cent of respondents feel more productive while they are travelling.

The results of the survey also showed that British business travellers prefer face-to-face meetings, leading them to travel for business three days a week on average. However, the downside was that respondents said they spend an average of five hours of their personal time catching up on work they have missed while away.

MOBILLEO CLAIMS A FIRST WITH NEW CORPORATE APP

FLEETONDEMAND HAS LAUNCHED Mobilleo, an app that integrates thousands of public and private transportation providers into a single platform. The platform, which is available

for businesses via desktop, IOS and Android, follows a multimillion pound investment from Business Growth Fund in Fleetondemand and three years of research and testing. The app was built to help

organisations with their corporate mobility objectives. It enables TMCs to find, book and pay for a client’s journey – including parking, car hire, flights, trains, accommodation, restaurants, airport lounges, car clubs, buses, taxis and more – in one transaction on one device. Mobilleo made it on to the BBT

Hotlist 2018 as “one to watch” for its potential to change the way corporates book travel.
