If you pull a load out and you’re not impressed with it you are going to think there is no point in continuing to use it, you might as well go back to using the old ones. It was the opposite in this case. The staff will quite happily use them; like I said, they are our go-to machines.” The Dr Weigert neodisher ALPA system offers micro-dosing, which means that the bottles of highly concentrated detergent are physically smaller; taking up less storage space and negating manual handling issues. This can be beneficial for hospital and healthcare facilities where storage space is at a premium. The weigomatic suction system is said to ensure that the detergent canisters are emptied completely, removing the need to transfer remaining quantities of detergent and with no chemicals being wasted. The concentrated chemicals ensure low environmental impact and the micro-dosing process for the new neodisher ALPHA system can be managed via on online application, suitable for both smartphones and tablets. The app enables users to manage the dosing process, displaying operating statuses and error messages.

We have had customers say to us that they weren’t sure that the machines were dosing at all at first as the quantities of detergent are so tiny. But the results in terms of cleaning are obviously visible to the naked eye. “The gentleness of the chemistry is a real factor for consideration as well. We see many instruments in the lab in Hamburg which have been badly damaged by harsh chemicals and need replacing regularly. Our chemistry prevents this and offers a real cost saving in terms of the long term preservation of materials. We are really excited to see where this technology takes us and to see what new innovations are launched in the coming years.”
