Clinical information systems
Established in 1988, Newgate Technology is a supplier of clinical information systems in the UK and ROI.
Based in Inverkeithing (just north of Edinburgh, over the Forth Bridge), Newgate combines has 30 years’ experience and serves customers across the UK and Ireland. Its Healthcare Division has developed hospital management systems since 1993 with Nexus solutions, deployed from a single department to a nationwide, integrated solution.

Themal validation services
Ellab provides thermal validation systems as well as qualification, calibration and rental services. The company serves both small and large companies within the pharmaceutical and medical industries and has systems for applications including sterilisation, depyrogenation, washing disinfection and more.
Ellab wireless data loggers are designed to tackle challenges such as temperature homogeneity inside the chamber, effectiveness of spray system or water cleanliness in final rinse water. Ellab
recommends using conductivity and temperature wireless loggers providing a conductivity range of 0 to 200 µS/cm and a temperature range of -30 to +100°C. A critical factor when validating any washer disinfector is the calibration of measurement sensors, especially temperature sensors. Using the built-in calibration functionality, users can calibrate the sensors at regular intervals. The ValSuite software generates a calibration report that includes all measurements and tolerances that are defined by the user.
Sterilisation, transportation and support
BES Healthcare, formerly BES Decon, works with and supports sterile services, theatres, and endoscopy units. It provides sterilisation, transportation, and support services across the UK. At this year’s IDSc, BES Healthcare is exhibiting the Vaporised Hydrogen Peroxide (VH2O2) Low Temperature Steriliser, with its dual vacuum pumps which help
to sterilise down long lumens. The VH2O2 Steriliser is said to offer a high volume load at low operating costs.

Omega Surgical Instruments supplies high quality, cost effective German manufactured surgical instruments and RFID technology to track individual instruments. This year at IDSc, along with its instruments, Omega will demonstrate its ARIS RFID Chip tracking system of individual instruments for stores, theatres and CSSD.
The system enables a hospital to individually track each surgical instrument from cradle to grave through the complete cycle from theatres to CSSD to stores. The system offers a complete individual instrument history, elimination of instrument never events, real time inventory management and an annual return of investment to the hospital.
Endoscope washer disinfectors
Wassenburg has specialised in innovative high level solutions for flexible endoscope reprocessing for more than 30 years. The company is dedicated to the design and manufacture of endoscope washer disinfectors and drying/storage cabinets. The systems are said to provide high performance and reliable equipment, combining efficient reprocessing and storage technology with a proven track record. At this year’s IDSc Wassenburg is launching its EndoChallenge PCD which provides a means to conduct weekly tests to verify that cleaning has been achieved, and ensure that the EWD is working to a defined level of cleaning efficacy.
Surgical instrument and decontamination catalogue
Caterham Surgical will be exhibiting its Surgical Instrument and Decontamination Catalogue at this year’s IDSc. The catalogue will be available for collection, showing a range of cleaning brushes, fibre light leads and tester. It also
