Beat the heat with these refreshing summer cocktails, mocktails, and frozen treats!


SUNSET SLUSHIES Add a salted rim and tequila to


transform this layered slushie into a frozen cocktail.

2 ripe peaches 1 cup fresh strawberries 3 cups ice 1 (16 oz) bag frozen mango


chunks, divided 2 tsp sugar, divided 6 maraschino cherries


STEP 1 Peel and pit the peaches, then cut into chunks. Hull and chop the strawberries. STEP 2 Place the ice in a resealable plastic bag. Pressing out any excess air, seal bag. Wrap in kitchen towels and use rolling pin or meat mallet to break up (or substitute with 2 cups crushed ice). STEP 3 To a blender, add the strawberries, half the mango, 1 tsp sugar, and ¼ cup water. Pulse until broken up. Add half the ice and blend until smooth, stopping and stirring occasionally. Divide among 6 tall glasses. Place glasses in refrigerator. STEP 4 Rinse blender, then add the peaches. Pulse until broken up. Add remaining mango, ice, and sugar. Blend until smooth, stopping and stirring occasionally. Pour on top of strawberry mixture in glasses. Garnish with the cherries.

RASPBERRY CITRUS-ADE READY IN 13 MIN. + COOLING TIME


In a pot, combine 2 cups water and ¾ cup sugar. Heat on high, until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and let cool. Squeeze 1 large red grapefruit to get ¾ cup juice. Squeeze 3–4 lemons to get 1 cup juice. Squeeze 2–3 limes to get ¼ cup juice. Add juices to a pitcher. In a blender, purée 2 (6 oz) containers raspberries until smooth. Strain through fine-mesh sieve into a pitcher, pushing on solids to extract juice. Into pitcher, stir sugar syrup and 4 cups cold water. Refrigerate until cold. Serve over ice.
