AWARDS THAT REWARD ALL The European Cleaning and Hygiene Award 2017 winners will be announced in Rome the day after this
issue of Tomorrow’s Cleaning comes out, so you may be reading this when they’ve been publicised. The Awards’ Silver Sponsor and sponsor of the ‘Distributors Excellence in added value initiatives’ category, Lucart Professional, gives its view on the awards and in particular the distributor category.
The European Cleaning and Hygiene Awards are very special. Not only are they the first and only pan-European awards for cleaning and hygiene, but they also encompass all parts of the industry. Whether a service provider, manufacturer or distributor, the awards mark your achievements.
We believe this is very important. The cleaning industry is a network that relies on each other and it is right that everyone should all be celebrated together. Whoever takes home this year’s prizes will be worthy winners, having faced stiff competition from every side of the sector; we know the judges certainly had a tough time just choosing the shortlist.

Cleaning products distributors can be seen as the glue that binds manufacturers and end customers together. Many of the industry-defining

trends currently being experienced – such as increased use of technology, including the Internet of Things – are offering distributors the opportunity to grow and improve their relationships with customers. This allows them to become true business partners rather than simply suppliers of what are often viewed as commodity products.
Distributors are now expected to provide solutions, using their specialist knowledge, and increasingly modern technology, to identify their clients’ cleaning and building maintenance needs.
The entrants in this category all had to illustrate how their distributor business has gone beyond the standard function of delivering cleaning products to now offer true innovation in client solutions.
ADDED VALUE Last year’s award was won by INPACS with its Global Supply Solution. INPACS’ comprehensive added value offering impressed the judges as it ensures global corporate customers receive consistent international service standards, including a vast product portfolio. INPACS also continued its
supply chain optimisation across all of its local operations in 35 countries worldwide.
