The Master Installer scheme too continues to welcome new members, improving the coverage of the network across the UK and through this, bringing peace of mind to more homes and businesses than ever before. With people of all ages taking part, the programme underlines the willingness of installers to improve their skills and offer their customers a lifetime workmanship warranty.

With newly refurbished facilities, including six-metre training bays with the obstacles faced that make installation of wood, laminate and LVT floors more complex, the Academy for Excellence in Flooring is proving the go-to place to broaden skills for even the most experienced fitters.

ALLURA PUZZLE Forbo Flooring Systems

Designed for adhesive-free installation, Forbo Flooring Systems’ Allura Puzzle luxury vinyl tiles are quick to install, with the advantage that they are also easy to remove, re-use and recycle. Simply installed by using a dead blow (non-rebound) hammer to ‘puzzle’ the pieces together, the unique puzzle shaped tiles interlock with each other on all sides.

Requiring minimal subfloor preparation, the 96cm x 96cm large scale tiles can be installed over existing floors in the majority of instances, reducing installation time by over 50%. This means that contractors are spending less time on site. Work can be carried out over the weekend, overnight or even whilst the premises are still in use and the floor can be walked on immediately after installation, reducing downtime and minimising impact on daily business.

Available in 18 wood and concrete designs, the collection is ideal for a wide range of applications such as offices, supermarkets or other retail environments, where requirement includes rapid installation, temporary floors or where products need to be taken out quickly without damaging the subfloor.

Janet Lowe, Head of Marketing UK and Ireland at Forbo Flooring Systems, said: “Part of our Fast Fit range, Allura Puzzle is an attractive proposition for contractors and their clients. The absence of adhesives eliminates setting times, drying times and lingering odours, as well as resulting in less dust and mess during installation. Tiles can also be reused, helping to support the circular economy.” 6 AWARDS 2021 CLICK HERE to vote for your favourite...
