APPOINTS NEW CEO Designer and manufacturer of rugs, broadloom and carpet tiles, The Balta Group, has appointed Tom Debusschere as its new CEO.
Tom’s wealth of international experience, combined with his Flemish roots, makes him the perfect person to accelerate the growth of the Group.
Tom said: “I am honoured to succeed Hendrik Deruyck who put Balta back on the map as an agile and reliable supplier.
“I look forward to helping our 3400 Balta employees drive further profitable growth. Our strategy remains based on a tradition of over 50 years worth of delivering superior product designs, quality and service to our customers worldwide.”
Tom Debusschere wil take over from Hendrik Deruyck who led the company for the past four years.
Hendrik said: “I sincerely thank the team at Balta for working with me on our growth.
“I fully support the appointment of Tom Debusschere. A man of his stature will surely succeed in building on Balta’s successes by innovating, enhancing and growing our business.”

Hendrik will continue his working life as a judge in the commercial court, consultant and member of various supervisory boards.

THE TILING SHOW
TREND SETTERS The Tiling Show is set to make its debut in September 2016 and will be bringing more than just networking and business opportunities to attendees in the form of the Trends Hub.
Scarlet Opus will be curating the area from market research they’re busy gathering already. Consumers will be telling the team about their current and future wants, needs and desires from the tiling industry.

A MASTER JOB FOR THE TIME SAVER HOUSE AT IDEAL
HOME SHOW Quick-Step Master Installer, Martin Sands, will be ensuring the 100,000s of visitors at the Time Saver House exhibit, at the famous Ideal Home Show, are walking upon expertly installed Quick-Step flooring.
Having recently completed the Master Installer refresher course in order to extend his accreditation for a further three years, Martin Sands, of Kiley’s Carpets, Eastbourne, was first on call to install Quick-Step’s striking Impressive Ultra laminate flooring throughout the two floors of the exhibit.

the Ideal Home Time Saver House showcases how high-end technology can improve daily life and, as such, Quick-Step was a natural partner.
With the exhibit set to be a major attraction at the show, it is important that Quick-Step flooring is presented in the best possible light, and so, a professional from the brand’s Master Installer scheme was the only choice.
