A VERSA-TILE COLLECTION For flooring installers, specifying the right tools and accessories for the job is crucial. Tile

specialist, Topps Tiles, has announced the launch of its tile care collection, along with four new product ranges, set to revolutionise the working lives of professional installers.

The new tools and accessories collections from Topps Tiles include tile care, adhesive, specialist grouts, electric cutters, mixers and manual cutters. The products have all been designed to make it easier for installers to achieve the perfect finish, while also saving on the time needed to complete each job.

BAL RAPID-FLEX FIBRE

PLUS ADHESIVE The trusted adhesive brand, BAL, has worked exclusively with Topps Tiles to bring the new BAL Rapid-Flex Fibre Plus to the UK market.

BAL Rapid-Flex Fibre Plus has an open time of 30 minutes which is three times longer than the average rapid- setting adhesive. This means that it can be left exposed for much longer than other rapid sets prior to skinning. As a result, more adhesive can be applied onto much larger areas to enable fast-track tiling.

Combined with a working time of 60 minutes, which is two times longer than other standard rapid-setting adhesives, BAL Rapid-Flex Fibre Plus will not ‘go-off’ quickly when mixed, meaning waste is avoided. Its open and working times are more similar to

those of a standard-setting adhesive, providing a much easier installation for users, but it is still ready to grout after only three hours.

These time-saving and fast-setting benefits are also matched by exceptional strength, flexibility and hold thanks to BAL’s unique Fibre Strand Technology (FST).

The new formulation with FST makes it ideal for use with large format tiles, allowing these to be fixed onto walls without the need for wooden batons, and thus supporting fast project completion.

The adhesive also has an excellent non-slip performance rating and easily passes the EN1308 slip test. A Topps Tiles in-house practical test recorded a 0mm slip with a 600 x 600mm polished porcelain tile.

MORTAR-INSPIRED

GROUT To tie into this season’s ‘refined industrial’ interiors trend, Topps has launched its range of mortar-inspired grout. The Micromax2 from BAL, which is exclusive to Topps Tiles, provides a single solution for wall and floor grouting that’s easy and quick to use.

The rapid-setting grout dries in just two to three hours, allowing installers to complete jobs quicker, and boasts superior strength and flexibility to ensure a smooth finish, with no shrinkage between tiles or cracking in between joints.

The BAL Micromax2’s new super fine formulation also helps installers to create the smoothest finish possible on walls and floors in joints from 1-20mm, with less risk of scratching.

Available in four natural colours – Clay, Cement, Lime and Ash – to compliment a variety of different interiors, the grout’s efflorescence-free formulation offers colour consistency with no shading or patchiness in grout colour. The range also comes with colour- matched silicone sealants to ensure a perfect finish for any tiling project.

CUTTERS To make cutting tiles easier for installers, Topps Tiles has created its own-branded range of cutters.

Complicated shapes prove no problem for a wet electric tile cutter like the ones from Topps Tiles’ own-branded range. Available in three sizes (750W, 650W and 450W) and ergonomically designed,
