PREPARE FOR SUCCESS
The Preparation Group’s open days, held at their Lincoln Training and Demonstration Centre on 1st and 2nd March, proved a great success, with industry professionals from across the UK turning up to view the latest products.
Managing Director, Tracey Glew, said: “We were delighted by the turnout.
“Visitors attended from a wide range of sectors and backgrounds. It was our chance to showcase the latest innovations through practical demonstrations of new products and was a great way for our visitors to share ideas and network in an informal, relaxed environment.”
Visitors were able to see The Preparation Group’s equipment, from small hand tools to large ride-on machines, in action as demonstrators undertook the removal of carpet, vinyl, adhesives and ceramic tiles. Other processes were exhibited on a variety of surfaces including shot blasting, planing, grinding, and polishing, with the latest technology in dust extraction.
Demonstrations included the recently launched Terrco 701 and polishing machine. The new 180 model grinder, powerful and effective on a wide range of surfaces to clean, smooth, prepare and remove adhesives, ideal for the professional contractor for tough jobs and exacting results.

GRINDER The Preparation Group’s 701-S Grinding and Polishing Machine is the smallest in the Terrco range and with an adjustable handle is easy to transport and ideal for projects of up to 500m2. It features contra-rotating heads for precision and uniformity of profile, with minimum operator intervention, to provide optimum results on a wide variety of background surfaces. Tracey said: “The 701-S has a proven diamond performance when compared to competitors models with the accessories suited to this machine having up to 67% more diamond content.
“The Terrco process yields high production and cost effective operational rates, leading to exceptional value for money per square metre. In addition it requires minimal maintenance and has a guarantee of long life due to its high quality construction. It is highly unlikely that you would ever need to replace it.”
The Terrco grinding and polishing process involves the correct selection of metal bonded diamond discs to grind the background surface and remove surface contaminants, followed by polishing with the specified resin bonded grades (50- 6000) and may require the application of a densifier/sealant.
PPC’S 180 GRINDER
