Entries have flooded in for the 2013 Loo of the Year Awards, following last years special 25th Anniversary year. Record numbers of cleaning and FM companies are realising the value of the independent assessment of their service, and enhancing their offer to existing and potential clients.
Since it was first introduced back in 1987, the competition has helped put the spotlight on ‘away from home’ toilets in the UK. The Awards have one simple aim: to encourage the highest possible standards in all areas.
Mike Bone, Managing Director, said: “The recent spotlight on Loo of the Year Awards, in the BBC Alba TV programme ‘Ladies and Gents’ and the ITV1 Dirty Britain documentaries,

highlighted the need for washroom cleaning standards to be at high levels, and the important part played by the cleaning operatives.
“The Attendant of the Year Awards, which include National and UK awards for individual cleaning teams, in-house and external contractors, are an important part.” They believe everyone has a shared responsibility to make this happen, from toilet providers and washroom managers, to staff, visitors and customers. Once again, the Loo of the Year Awards will be supported by the SCA brand Tork, given their large range of ‘away from home’ products.
Many providers of goods and services to washroom providers,
