High-performance Purification Solution for Deionised Water Applications


Evoqua Water Technologies, an industry leader in mission-critical water treatment solutions, has unveiled the Protegra CS® Pro RO EDI, a new solution to deliver high volumes of deionised water for laboratory and industrial applications. The innovative system includes reverse osmosis water purification technology and will provide customers with industry-leading performance, efficiency, and cost savings. for laboratories and industrial applications.


Deionised water is vital across various industries, and the Protegra CS Pro RO EDI provides high-quality water that operators can rely on. The system features a high-performance Ionpure®


CEDI cell, which significantly increases pure water quality while


delivering greater energy efficiency than traditional reverse osmosis systems. The system offers consistent water quality of up to 0.055µS/cm at 25°C, for flow rates ranging up to 500 litres per hour and achieves a conductivity of less than 0.07µS/cm.


In addition to delivering technical excellence, the system has been designed to increase operational efficiency and reduce engineering time. The robust and compact system seamlessly integrates into a plant and features a user-friendly 7-inch HMI display to simplify water treatment. Monitoring via a building management system (BMS) is possible thanks to Modbus, and data transfer via USB and microSD enables data recording and straightforward firmware updates. Costs are lowered thanks to longer service intervals, reducing annual maintenance requirements.


The Protegra CS Pro RO EDI system can provide a centralised distribution of deionised water. A single system can supply deionised water to multiple machines and sites simultaneously. For larger sites or multi-lab facilities, a centralised system offers substantial cost and efficiency advantages.
