26TH – 29TH MARCH 2012 DUBAI INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION CENTRE, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES OFFICIAL MEDIA SPONSORS Show Preview by Gwyneth Astles
In March, Dubai once again plays host to the analytical industry’s powerful annual trade show – ARABLAB. The No 1 show for everyone involved in the global science business provides exposure to buyers and distributors from more than 80 countries on all six continents, gives access to the world’s petrochemical sector, and offers an introduction to the world’s biggest biotechnology market.
The show has again recorded substantial growth, not only in the Middle East but throughout the world. With further hall space added for the 2012 event there are even more opportunities for sellers and buyers to meet and discuss the latest products and services.
A Global Opportunity
Attracting buyers, specifiers, end-users and distributors from some 85 countries, the show is firmly established as the industry’s only selling and networking event to cover all of the important growth markets of the Middle East, China, the Indian sub-continent, south-east Asia and Africa. Some 85% of visitors come from outside Dubai, 65% from outside the UAE, 26% from the GCC countries, and 16% from the MENA region. 60% of the business conducted at ARABLAB is from outside the Middle East region.
Little wonder then that ARABLAB, now in its 29th year, is regarded by the industry as one of its most influential annual events. Divided into five main sectors – MediLab, BioLab, PetroLab, EnviroLab and NanoLab – and focussing on Clinical Diagnostics, Environmental Sciences, Drug Discovery & Development, Forensics & Security, Biotechnology & Life Sciences, Energy & Petrochemicals, Agriculture & Food, Research & Development, Instrumentation, Nano Technology, Laboratory Technology, Measurement & Testing and Robotics & Automation, ARABLAB draws some 10,000 visitors from industry, academia and governments on all six continents, providing a unique showcase for the more than 800 exhibitors who regularly attend.
ARABLAB is not only an unequalled platform for the latest developments and innovations in the field of laboratory and instrumentation equipment but also provides an invaluable forum for industry leaders involved in medical, petroleum and environmental research and analysis, laboratory automation, and data process management. All the industry’s foremost companies are exhibiting – some 200 of which are actively looking for distributors – and this year more national groups than ever before will be participating.
The organisers offer a wide range of support services to exhibitors, including stand design and building, direct mail and email marketing services, and website design. Exhibitors are invited to submit news releases for inclusion in the exhibition website’s media section.
Comprehensive Seminar Programme
Complementing the exhibition itself is ARABLAB’s packed seminar programme which, with more than 80 dedicated sessions – there are some 25 targeting the BIOLAB sector and 20 especially for PETROLAB – offers unrivalled opportunities to gain information about all the most recent developments. Visitors to ARABLAB are invited to attend seminars free of charge.
About Dubai
And where better to host an event for one of the world’s most innovative industries than in one of the world’s most innovative cities?
