12 Reinventing Gas Chromatography


No relevant progresses in GC autosampler technology have been introduced for many years. HTA reinvents the market by introducing a new GC autosampler lines: HT3000A (autosampler) and HT3100A (autoinjector). Innovative functionalities, easiness of use and extraordinary performance distinguish these new autosamplers and place them at the forefront of the GC autosampler market. HT3000A is the most compact autosampler on the market while offering top-class sample capacity: 121 positions for 2ml vials are available in the standard version.


It is the first autosampler in the world featuring a touch screen display that provides easier system accessibility and usability, simplifying instrument control, also by inexperienced users. HT3100A offers automation for processing up to 15 samples, so it represents the ideal solution for labs that run small sample batches and care about reproducibility and reliability. Quick set of autosampler parameters can be done by the free PC control (HTA Autosampler Manager) provided along with HT3100A, while all the routine operations can be managed by its dedicated keypad. To run the analysis, simply push the START button and all the samples in the rack will be automatically processed, without the need for further assistance by the operator.


HT3000A and HT3100A fit all GC and GC/MS systems available on the market, more or less recent models, regardless of the GC brand. They can be configured serving up to two injectors, with only one tower, in the most of the supported GC. Furthermore, they can be easily moved between GCs, also of different brands, when the workload changes.


Moreover, thanks to their versatility, they can use different kind of syringes with volume from 500 nanoliters to 100 microlitres, to suit all applications. In fact they can handle all the sampling techniques, even the most sophisticated: internal standard technique (also known as sandwich injection), multi-phase, ambient headspace, priority injection, nanoliter injection and much more. They are also provided with an outstanding solvent capacity allowing longer unattended operations and offering double wash step capability for superior analytical performance. Finally HT3000A and HT3100A are the fastest liquid autosamplers available on the market: the injection is performed in less than 100ms.
