FOCUS EVENTIT

EVENTIT is Scotland’s largest trade show for events industry professionals and makes a welcome return to the EICC

Blazing a trail in the Scottish events industry

Events professionals can dip their toes in the ‘experiential’ market as EVENTIT takes place in Edinburgh on March 19

eetings rooms on wheels, aerial artists, a ‘speaker’s corner’, silent seminars and see-through igloos

all feature as part of Scotland’s annual events industry show.

Tese are just some of the

quirkier offerings that will light up the halls of the Edinburgh International Conference Centre, as EventIt makes its much-anticipated return to the capital on Tursday, March 19. With demand for new experi-

ences, fresh ways of delivering ‘immersive’ and ‘experiential’ events, powered by fast-moving trends in event technology, well- being, social media and marketing, EventIt - now in its fifth year - will offer up its largest ever education programme as the show returns to the venue where it all began in 2016. An experimental approach to

exhibitor floor design will also spice things up for delegates, weary of the usual regiment of shell scheme stand followed by

shell scheme stand. Instead, stands will be organised in zones fully integrated into networking spaces and in an innovative twist on the usual format, schemes will form a natural corral around demonstra- tion areas. “We have put an awful lot of

thought into the way we have designed the show floor,” says Judith Wilson, EventIt director. “As event professionals ourselves, we have always been motivated by the desire to deliver events in a much more interactive, relaxed and hopefully engaging way. We’ve worked with our suppliers and the feedback we have had from past events – such as What’s Trending in December at Dynamic Earth – has really given us a continuity and a style sheet for where the industry is going. For events professionals
