enues don’t come much bigger than BT Murrayfield: not only is it Scotland’s largest stadium, but as home to
Scottish Rugby and with its location next to the tram and railway lines, few people will have missed it. As well as being an international
stage for iconic sporting and music events, BT Murrayfield boasts many conferencing and event facilities including Edinburgh’s largest ban- queting suite, which can welcome 1,150 guests. After a wide-ranging refurbish-
ment of its already impressive facilities last year, BT Murrayfield now has an enviable offering for event organisers. Te Centenary Club is a stunning

designs and team memorabilia, the club has its own private entrance and exclusive access to the stadium bowl. “You can host a dinner for 150 or
a reception for 200 in this unique space and your guests can walk straight out into one of the most famous arenas in the world,” says Lorna Allan, conference and events sales manager at Scottish Rugby Hospitality. She adds that the beau- tifully appointed executive boxes overlooking the main pitch are ideal for dinners for up to 14 guests or boardroom meetings for up to 10 delegates.
WITH A WIDE choice of spaces to hire, non-match day events really can be tailored to individual require- ments. Tere are nearly 30 different rooms which add up to countless combinations. Te Tistle Suite and President’s Suite can seat up to 600, while 16 smaller breakout spaces accommodate from 10 to 100 people. “Being inside Murrayfield is a
special experience for many people
and each room inside the stadium has a character of its own. For instance, in the President’s Suite there is an entire wall of windows overlooking the training pitches which is as unique a backdrop as you’ll find,” says Lorna. Tere is also 1,500 sqm of
internal carpeted exhibition space and the possibility of outdoor displays, meaning visually things are covered. Te hospitality facilities are
available both in conjunction with Scotland’s international rugby fixtures and on non-match days. Already packages are on sale for this year’s autumn internation- als and it won’t be long before booking for next year’s Six Nations hospitality opens. Tere are also packages for Edinburgh Rugby’s home fixtures. BT Murrayfield is also unique in
having excellent public transport links – with its own tram stop – as well as car parking on site. n
