Learning leadership essentials
Masterclass: Delegates who completed the Aston mini-MBA
Future Faces has launched a new leadership event series with Aston University’s business school. The Leadership Essentials series covers
different aspects of leadership, including how to be a successful ‘intrapreneur’, networking, managing team dynamics, driving responsible business and accounting. The events are led by academics,
entrepreneurs, careers consultants, psychologists
and chartered accountants from Aston University. Members who complete the entire event
series receive a certificate of completion from the business school. The series is a follow-up to the successful
MBA Taster event series, held in partnership between Future Faces and Aston University last year.
Anna Assinder, Future Faces manager, said: Awards night will make return
The biggest event on the Future Faces calendar has been confirmed for Friday 28 August. The organisation’s annual dinner and awards
is returning to the ICC in Birmingham – and looks set to be even bigger than last year when 500 people attended. The event – where Birmingham Design
Festival co-founder Daniel Alcorn was crowned the Future Face of Greater Birmingham – also reached around 3.5 million social media users. Future Faces manager Anna Assinder said:
“Last year, we moved our annual awards dinner to the ICC to cater for the growing interest in Future Faces. “We’re expecting this year’s event to be
even more popular and we look forward to announcing more details in the coming weeks.”
Big night: Two of the 2019 award winners
Details of tickets, award entries and sponsor opportunities will be made available in the coming weeks on

“We are so thankful to Aston University for their support and dedication to developing the region’s young professionals. I have no doubt that this bespoke event series will be as successful as those in previous years.” Paul Hebron, head of marketing at Aston
University, said: “This event series is designed to equip managers with the essential leadership skills for the 2020s, delivered by Aston Business School’s top academics.”
