Talented rapper recruited by firm

SF Recruitment has shaken up the recruitment market by partnering with one of Birmingham’s up-and- coming rap talents. The specialist recruiter has

commissioned ‘Strong Yet Flexible’, a spoken word piece performed by rapper Lady Sanity, to highlight the firm’s ethos – ‘a company that thinks differently’. SF says the three-minute track

highlights its commitment to collaboration and sustainability in its bid to place job seekers in roles they love. Dan Meredith, marketing director

at SF Recruitment said: “We’re always looking to do things differently in our bid to match candidates with employers and roles they love. “Our focus as a company is very

much on perfectly matching companies with people, but why not have fun along the way? “Our collaboration with Lady

Sanity is our way of making our recruiters realise how important their jobs are, and clients and candidates realise how crucial the right recruitment agency can be in supporting business growth and improving lives.”

Avison Young is appointed to manage Paradise estate

Avison Young has been appointed to provide estate management services at flagship Birmingham development, Paradise. The £700m, 1.8 million sq ft

mixed use development incorporates office space, retail, car parking and public realm. The scheme’s first building, One Chamberlain Square, was handed over to professional services giant PwC in November 2019. Avison Young was originally

appointed to provide development consultancy, to design an estate management regime, work on the logistical interface with the buildings on the development and to advise upon the management of what will become a very important city centre public space at the redeveloped Chamberlain Square, along with the soon to be opened new public car park. Guy Thompson, Avison Young,

will continue his longstanding relationship with developers Argent on this scheme, supported by associate Justin Sherratt. Guy said: “Working alongside the

delivery team on this project in the true heart of the city over the last six years is something we are incredibly proud of. Being able to now deliver stand out management and occupier experiences to the likes of major organisations and

brands such as PwC, DLA Piper, Dishoom and Vinoteca at what is a prime destination in the UK’s second city is something we are hugely excited about.”
