For over 200 years,
Oddfellows has been bringing people together in a bid to tackle the silent epidemic of loneliness which is a growing problem in the UK face by nine million people of all ages according to research by The Co-op and the British Red Cross. As one of the UK’s oldest
and largest friendly societies, Oddfellows is run by members for members. By providing easy

ways for people of all ages to meet up and get to know each other a little better, their main aim is to improve the quality of people’s lives through friendship, care and charitable support. The Rotherham branch has a
wealth of experience of creating opportunities for people to form friendships, as well as supporting members in times of need. Each week, the calendar is
filled with social events ranging from local gatherings to day trips and holidays. And to celebrate the tenth
consecutive friendship month this September, Oddfellows have some exciting events on the agenda and everyone is welcome to attend - new members and non-members can all join in the fun and friendship. Enjoy friendly chatter over
a cuppa or lunch with like- minded people, take a trip around Rotherham Minster, or be bowled over with an outing of fun and laughter at a bowling arcade guaranteed to be right up your alley. If you appreciate heritage,
join in on the day trip to Skipton this September. As the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, a visit to the charming market town with its 900-year-old castle and historic cobbled High Street is guaranteed to be rich in history and outstanding natural beauty. To find out more about

Market Shopping and Lunch Friday 6th September
The Horseshoe, Wombwell High Street S73 0AA (Wetherspoon Public House) Meet at 10am in Rotherham Bus Station to catch the 10.20am 22X bus. Alternatively, meet at Wombwell Post Office at 11.15am. Enjoy a spot of shopping then join us for lunch at the Horseshoe. If you would like to join us but not travelling from Rotherham, please contact the office and we will let you know which bus to catch. Pay direct to Horseshoe.
Is Bowling up your Alley? Tuesday 10th September from 11am
Hollywood Bowl, Valley Centertainment, Sheffield S9 2EP Join us for fun and laughter on the lanes with a game of ten pin bowling. Everyone welcome. Price will be £3.10 per game

Whether you love shopping, sightseeing or just relaxing with a tasty meal and drink, Skipton has something for everyone. Skipton’s award-winning market is unique and a visit to Skipton Castle and church is a must. The Three Links Club will open at 11am to welcome us with hot drinks and the bar will be open if you fancy something a little stronger. Members £15 Non-Members £18
10 Year Friendship Party The Big Decades Party
Friday 20th September from 12pm
The Oddfellows, 40 Westgate, Rotherham, South Yorkshire S60 1AS From the glamorous ‘20’s to the nostalgic ‘90’s, the Oddfellows decades party has something for everyone.
Sing along to the popular hits of your favourite decade or just sit back and enjoy lots of fun and laughter with friends. A prize will be given for the best fancy dress. Buffet lunch and cold drinks will be provided.
Bring along your friend, family member, neighbour, everyone’s invited! Free to all.
Rotherham Minster Visit
Thursday 26th September from 12.30pm Church Street, Rotherham S60 1PD
Join us on a walk around and to learn all about the history of Rotherham’s marvellous Minster. Free to all.
