Overview The programme is divided into units of study delivered over a period of two academic years: Government, Policies and the Public Services Leadership and Teamwork in the Public Services Citizenship, Diversity and the Public Services Outdoor and Adventurous Expeditions Skills for Land-based Outdoor and Adventurous Activities

Course outline This course provides students with a good understanding of the skills and demands required for a career in the Public Services. Students learn about a range of units such as leadership, health and lifestyle, citizenship, politics and law. Students have the opportunity to take part in activities which will enhance their understanding of a career in the Public Services.
Students have opportunities to go on residential visits to develop their team work and leadership skills in preparation for a career in the Public Services and to experience outdoor activities including water based. Students have the opportunity to meet guest speakers and participate in recruitment events from the Army, Navy and the Police during their studies, which will enhance their understanding of the units they are studying.
