Overview Travel and Tourism is the exploration of one of the largest employment sectors in the UK. During this course students will investigate modern Travel & Tourism and research the industry from small business to multinational. Students will explore forms of tourism across the world and improve their skills in customer service.

Course outline


The Extended Certificate is for students who are interested in learning about the business sector alongside other subjects, with a view to progressing to university or employment.


The course is made up of 4 units:


2 coursework units – Global Destinations and Recruitment & Visitor Attractions


1 exam: The World of Travel & Tourism 1 controlled assessment on Customer Service


Complementary subjects Business Studies, Geography, Media Studies, IT and Health & Social Care.
