Admission to Matravers


Sixth Form The ‘outstanding’ curriculum provision in the Sixth Form ensures that a diverse range of pathways are available which cater for a range of abilities. Students are expected to meet certain entry requirements in order to be accepted on to each pathway:


Academic Pathway – A minimum of 5 Grade 5+ GCSEs, including English and Maths Combined Pathway – A minimum of 5 Grade 4+ GCSEs, including English and Maths Vocational Pathway – A minimum of 4 Grade 4+ GCSEs Alternative Pathway – 4 Grade 3+ GCSEs


The deadline for applications is the end of Term 2 of the academic year prior to admission. Late applicants will only be considered if space remains in the Sixth Form. Students making late applications should be aware that spaces may only be available on a limited number of courses.


Applications should be made directly to Matravers School via the application form available from the school website.


Following submission of an application all students are interviewed from January onwards in the year of admission.


Students must meet the minimum requirements for entry, for the pathway of their choice. Please speak to a member of the Sixth Form team regarding any concerns relating to entry requirements.
