BTEC BUSINESS STUDIES Overview


Business Studies is the exploration of the world of business and employment. Students’ future careers will involve employment, management, finance, how to market themselves and products. Business Studies provides them with the essential skills to become employable.


Students will investigate modern businesses, understand finance experience how to market yourself and products as well as learn the necessary skills in recruitment.

Course outline


The Extended Certificate is for students who are interested in learning about the business sector alongside other subjects, with a view to progressing to university or employment.


The course is made up of 4 units: 2 coursework units – Exploring Business and Recruitment & Selection 1 financial exam 1 controlled assessment based on a marketing scenario


Complementary subjects Media, ICT, English Language, English Literature, Maths, French, Food, Health and Social Care.
