Eventmasters strike a deal with tennis event

Birmingham-based specialist sports hospitality provider Eventmasters has secured a three- year deal to manage and provide corporate hospitality at top women’s tennis tournament ‘The Nature Valley Classic’. The event – held annually at the

Edgbaston Priory Club – is traditionally seen as a warm-up for Wimbledon and features some of the world’s top women players. Last year’s winner was two-time

Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova, who will be joined by reigning Wimbledon champion Garbine Muguruza, 2004 winner Maria Sharapova and British number one Johanna Konta. Eventmasters says the exclusive

contract for the event is ‘a further significant appointment’ for the company, which offers a range of VIP experiences at a variety of sports and entertainment venues. The Classic, which was

established in 1982, is the 12th most prestigious women’s event in the world. This year’s event takes place between 16-24 June.

KPMG and NSPCC to play it safe

Professional services firm KPMG and the NSPCC have joined forces in an effort to help hundreds of thousands of primary school children stay safe. And for older children, KPMG is

to send volunteers into the classroom to help them find jobs. The partnership has come about

after a vote by KPMG staff to adopt the NSPCC as the company’s national charity for the next two years. Teams of KPMG volunteers will work with the NSPCC to deliver ‘Speak Out. Stay Safe’ assemblies, where primary school children will learn how to stay safe from the dangers of abuse and neglect in an age-appropriate way. In addition KPMG will host
