Flying the flag at Oz tech conference

Following several trade trips Down Under, the Department for International Trade (DIT) is continuing to fly the ‘Made in Britain’ flag by inviting technology businesses to Australia’s largest IT event for government. The Technology in Government event is taking

place between 7–8 August at the National Convention Centre in the country’s capital, Canberra. The event aims to meet the growing needs of Government and policy makers in Australia, by bringing together senior public sector technologists and communications experts to network and source IT solutions for public sector use. The event programme is divided into three

areas of focus, Future Services, Cyber Security and Digital Identity. Businesses are being offered the opportunity to exhibit at the conference and attend as part of the UK delegation. Ann Cook, international trade adviser at

International Hub at GBCC, said: “The conference will offer UK companies the chance to access a growing market.”
