Cllr Russell Reeve – Council policies and procedures; governance and finance (email rreeve@hoveton-pc.org.uk or call 07966 402387).

Parish Clerk – Miss Lisa Weller (email clerk@hoveton-pc.org.uk or call 07572 349600).

Local residents are also welcome to attend the Parish Council’s monthly meetings in order to raise any queries or concerns they may have directly with the Council. Each meeting includes a ‘public speaking’ session, during which members of the public are given an opportunity to ask questions about local issues and to express their views. However, residents are reminded that they may raise issues with the Council at any time, and that all communications will be carefully considered and responded to.

In light of recent misinformation being circulated via social media, please do bear in mind that the best way to obtain accurate and up-to-date information on local issues and to make your voice heard is to contact your Parish Council via one of the methods described above. Hoveton Parish Council does not currently have any social media accounts, but the Council hopes to launch a brand new website later this year, which will offer more interactivity and improved communications between the Council and the local community. Annual Parish Meeting – Wednesday 2nd May, 6pm Just a reminder that Hoveton’s Annual Parish Meeting is taking place this month. This short, informal meeting will be held in the main hall at Hoveton Village Hall and will include a report from the Parish Council Chairman and an update from Mark Ashwell, Planning Policy Officer at North Norfolk District Council, on the new Local Plan, which is currently in preparation.

Local residents should please note that Mr Ashwell’s presentation is intended to give residents and councillors an overview of the Local Plan as currently drafted and to advise us on how we can input our views e.g. at formal public consultation events which North Norfolk District Council will hold in due course. This event is not a formal consultation on the Local Plan, and due to time constraints there will be only a limited opportunity to ask questions. The Annual Parish Council Meeting will follow at 6.30pm, in the Jubilee Room, and all are welcome to attend both meetings.

Please Keep Off The Grass Despite highlighting this issue repeatedly in The Bridge, Hoveton Parish Council continues to receive reports of grass verges within the village being churned up and seriously damaged as a result of vehicles being parked on or driven across the grass. Based on the reports received, it is clear this is a widespread problem, and in some cases the damage is believed to have been caused by local residents.
