WHB TWINNING ASSOCIATION Our committee have nearly everything ready for the visit of our Twinning friends here this year from La Pommeraye and Montjean-sur-Loire, 16th

Aylsham, Lowestoft and the Transport Museum now booked, our Saturday dinner and ceilidh also, at the Wroxham Masonic Hall and afternoon games, just Thursday evening’s reception venue to sort out, which we hope to have at Broadland School. Our first order has arrived and we’re busy delivering our Twinning polo shirts, royal blue with a logo of two boats, a wherry and a gabarre, a traditional Loire boat, and the caption Bure & Loire: look out for them this summer! French Conversation was at Sheila’s in Wroxham on the first Wednesday in April and will be at Gill’s in South Walsham on 4th

HORNING BRIDGE CLUB On Tuesday 8th May at 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. approx.; we will be holding our next Morning Duplicate Bridge session at HORNING VILLAGE HALL (Annexe at rear). Please be in your seats by 09.45 a.m. latest. Cost £2.50 including refreshments. Friendly atmosphere; players from other clubs most welcome. Come with a partner; if preferred; but we will find you a partner anyway. Just turn up - no need to book; but for any enquiries contact Ron (01603 781416) or Jenny (01603 720826). Please note that these events continue to be run monthly by the Club; and similar bridge meetings will be held on the morning of the second Tuesday of each month viz. 12th June; 10th July, 14th August etc. at the same time.


The Club also meets every Monday evening at Horning Village Hall – prompt start at 6.30 p.m., playing for around 3 hours. Table money £2.50 per night including refreshments – and we are currently looking for new members of all ages. Visitors are always welcome (cost £3.50 each). Please contact Ron or Jenny, as above, for further information before attending evening bridge sessions.
