CLUB NEWS
NORFOLK BROADS YACHT CLUB Cold and icy conditions in February, followed by wet and windy weather in March has led to a slower start at the club this year. However, with improved weather during April, boats have been arriving and members are looking forward to another season of sailing, racing and socialising. Whilst many adults hibernated during the winter, a team of hardy youngsters braved the elements for Saturday morning training, some even attending a power boat course in snow and hail! The Easter Sailing School was well attended and the juniors will no doubt be putting their skills to the test during the season. This year, our club is celebrating eighty years of sailing on Wroxham Broad and our social and racing committees have planned a full programme. Along with weekend racing, open meetings and regattas, Wednesday night sailing, bistro nights, and Friday club nights during the summer, there will be some additional events taking place including ‘Proms on the Pier’ on the 27th
May. If you are interested in what our club has to offer, do contact the office to
arrange a visit. Phone: 01603 782808, email:
