achievements of note. Chassis one was entrusted to Divo and in 1929 took part in the first Monaco Grand Prix. Chassis three was the car mostly driven by Benoist during the championship season and was subsequently crashed by Lord Howe. André Morel was the driver of chassis four during the 1927 season and this is the car in which Dick Seaman had such success nearly 10 years later, thereby earning himself a Mercedes- Benz works GP seat. GP5 and GP6 are the later cars, the second of which was fitted with an ERA engine in 1950 following failure of the original item. The book Delage – Champion du Monde by Daniel Cabart and Christophe Pund, with French and English text, was launched at the show and is available in the Museum Shop, and is £75.99 well spent for those seriously interested in these amazing cars.
