Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in National Harbor, MD officially introduced its brand new RiverView Ballroom this past May. The 16,000-square foot event space is perfect for galas, weddings, as well as corporate and social functions.
It is being dubbed the Washington, DC area’s first “infinity ball- room,” as guests will feel as if they are floating on top of the Potomac River when looking out of the 270-degree floor-to-ceil- ing windows of this column-free, unobstructed ballroom.
This contemporary space is designed to provide event-goers with their own private venue outside of Gaylord National’s main meeting hub. The ballroom comes well equipped with cutting-edge technology, offers impeccable service, custom menu experiences and spectacular views.
In addition to its 16,000-square feet of indoor function space, RiverView ballroom also boasts two outdoor terraces equaling more than 10,000-square feet of combined space. These ter- races offer even more versatility for guests interested in both indoor and outdoor functions and both feature an equally stunning backdrop.
With regard to food and beverage, planners can choose from new, interactive menu experiences designed around fresh, local fare with a focus on sustainability. Gaylord National’s executive chef curated themed menus that include Penang and Malaysian, Cuban, Southern Barbecue, and Chesapeake Bay flavors, all of which can include and incorpo- rate expert culinarians and mixologists who are available to assist attendees in making their own dining creations for an even more experiential event.
With the addition of RiverView Ballroom, Gaylord National now offers a total of five ballrooms and more than 600,000-square feet of indoor and outdoor flexible meeting space, keeping the property as the largest non-gaming resort and convention center on the East Coast.

We currently are looking to have a two-day FAM tour in the fall and a one-day FAM tour in early December,” says Sites.
For planners that are unfamiliar but considering the Gettysburg area for their next event, along with its many exciting sites to visit, Gettysburg is home to accommodations totaling 2,800 sleeping rooms and 122,000-square feet of combined meeting space.
