Located in suburban Philadelphia, PA, the Valley Forge Tourism and Convention Board (VFTCB) is a private, non-profit member- ship sales and marketing organization that actively promotes the Valley Forge area and Montgomery County as a convention site and leisure visitor destination - encouraging patronage of its mem- ber hotels, restaurants, attractions and services.


“As specialists in our area, we are knowledgeable of the venues and attractions available throughout our exciting county,” says Scott Higgins, associate director of sales for the Valley Forge Tourism and Convention Board. “The VFTCB team is able to take a customer’s needs and match them with ideal options to provide a successful event. Once the group has found its hotel home, we continue to support them through our services team by the way of providing activity suggestions, attendance building support, welcome kits for hotel arrivals and much more.”


They also will happily provide valuable insight to assist planners with their group outings and activities. “Through our different brands and vast knowledge of the area, we can provide ideas of which the planner might otherwise not be aware. Our assistance continues as we are happy to contact the actual facility to help assist in the organization of the event or outing.”


For planners looking to arrange a FAM trip to help them get a taste of the area before organizing activities for their groups, the VFTCB notes that opportunities are endless in Montgomery County.


“A typical day might include indoor sky diving at our new iFly facil- ity, ziplining through Elmwood Park Zoo, touring the ultimate indoor playground at Legoland, working with your team to create your meal at Cooking Spotlight, and finishing the day with some shopping at King of Prussia Mall,” suggests Higgins.

“The Valley Forge Tourism and Convention Board is quite active when it comes to familiarization tours for those that plan meetings and events,” he continues. “Most recently, we participated in a joint effort to welcome a group of international travel agents from Icelandair. Our FAM trips include time at the Valley Forge National Historical Park, the King of Prussia Mall and some of our newest attractions, such as iFly. Our FAM tours are designed to provide a taste of our action filled attractions, world class hotels and crave- able restaurant options.”
