Indra is a three- year-old Beauceron. Known for their work as guarding and herding, the Beauceron is in the Working Dog cate- gory. This breed’s origins lie in the plains of Northern France and is also known as Berger de (sheepdog from Beauce) or Bas Rouge (red stock- ings). The Beauceron is one of the breeds used to create the Doberman Pinscher. One interesting physical trait of the breed are the dewclaws on its hind legs, for climbing rocky mountains and quick turnaround. Another characteristic is that the dog is not flat-footed. The breed actually stands up on their toes.
