Florida Adoptable Dogs Well-Represented During Animal Planet Puppy Bowl 2017.
Of the 78 puppies appearing in the Animal Planet Puppy Bowl 2017, nine were from Florida. Mocha (shown left) was one of those lucky puppies. She represented The Humane Society of Naples. The Weimaraner mix was originally pulled from another shelter at just three months old. During her travels to New York City to film Puppy Bowl, she
took the subway, ate at rooftop restaurants and visited the 9/11 Memorial and Times Square. Now about nine months old, Mocha has been adopted by a Florida family. “It was exciting that we had the opportunity to highlight one of our pets nationally,” said Michael Simonik, executive director of The Humane Society of Naples.
HSNaples.org Florida Little Dog Rescue, again, had the most puppies repre-
senting Central Florida in Puppy Bowl with Oliver, Nikita, Alexander Hamilpup, Parfait, Puddles, Rory and Smooshie. Blitz, a Golden Retriever mix from Miami-Dade Animal Services, repre- sented South Florida during the February 5 airing of the Animal Planet Puppy Bowl.
