It all started with Honey Bear - a love story between a man and his dog. Honey Bear, and a storm named Hurricane Charley. That’s when Ronnie Graves put the brakes on a successful hobby of drag racing and geared up to rescuing dogs. –by Anna Cooke
Ronnie and his wife Linda moved to Sumter County in 1992. He is the owner of
Veterinary Inclusive Prosthetics Orthotics (VIP Orthotics) in Bushnell. The company has been dedicated to providing state-of-the-art orthotic care for animals for 20-plus years. Drag racing had always been Ronnie’s hobby. “I was the second fastest amputee in racing,” said Ronnie, who lost his leg in a factory accident in 1975. Volunteering at the Humane Society/SPCA of Sumter County has always been Linda’s calling.
