Stay
Patience is important for teaching her to stay. With stay, we are asking her to hold the position that she is in. Stay always finishes with you coming back to Angel. During the early stages of learning, don’t ask her to stay and then call her to come from across the room or yard.
Step 1: With Angel sitting and looking at you, say the cue, stay. Step 2: Extend your arm toward Angel with your hand open and your palm facing Angel. Step 3: Bring your arm back to your side and stand in a natural position. Step 4: Count to 3, and then calmly say good. Reward her while she holds the position. Step 5: Say your release word, and then walk away.
Come
Angel did really well with coming when called. She seemed to like the reward of excited affection as much as the treats. That is a great thing. When you work on this command, make it as easy as possible for her to succeed.
Step 1: When Angel is doing something and not watching you, say the cue, Angel come. I almost capitalized the cue because you should use an excited and playful voice. Step 2:When she looks at you it will only be for an instant, so you must be ready.

Step 3: As she looks at you, bend over slight- ly and start clapping your hands. Step 4: Say the cue again and move your body around if you need to. It will make her excited and she’ll start moving your way. Step 5:Take a step or two backward to keep her coming to you. Stay excited! Step 6: As you’re bending over and she
comes into your arms, love her up and treat, treat, treat her up.
This is a life saving behavior so always reward her with the best stuff when she comes. This is a jackpot!
