With this month’s general election looming, the country fi nds itself in an economic state of fl ux, with an inevitable impact on all sectors of business.


According to the results of a snap poll by the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB), domestic issues such as supporting the rights of the self-employed are just as important an election concern for small businesses as Brexit. Small businesses are also keen to see the next Government make long-term investments to help support growth.


Election aside, there is an air of optimism within the UK’s swimming pool industry, as businesses focus on a busy summer season ahead.

If media reports are to be believed, Britain is just weeks away from a fl aming hot summer with tropical heatwaves driven by ‘Spanish Pluming’ forecast through to autumn. Weather experts say that near record temperatures of 38°C could be reached across the country over the coming months, which is good news for pool owners and even better news for pool companies.
