01489 790 944 | www.bandai .co.uk The highlight of Bandai’s Spring 2014 launches is the return of the Tamagotchi. The handheld virtual, interactive pet that develops depending on how well you take care of it is coming back to the UK market and this time incorporates near fi eld communication technology so it can be ‘bumped’ with other Tamagotchis to send text messages, earn Gotchi points and exchange gifts. The unit is bigger than before, features all the familiar functions, plus fi ve new games and comes in six new designs. The new brand Tamagotchi Friends will be supported by an immersive website, TV advertising, consumer PR and a striking FSDU for in-store display. Also new to the Girls market is a mini dolls range called Locksies. Inspired by Harumika, young designers are invited to dress and accessorise four fashionable dolls using the same wrap and style technique of fi xing materials into a special strip on the back of the body. Each Designer Doll comes with several pieces of fabric, shoes and stickers so girls can create their own trendy look. A Slumber Party bedroom and Lounge in Style living room playset are also available, alongside a car which transforms into a vanity studio. For boys, there are two new launches for collectors of action fi gures. To coincide with the new TV series Pac-Man and The Ghostly Adventures, which will air in January on Disney XD, Bandai will be launching a new range of mini collectable fi gures: Ghostly Friends fi gures, Ghost Grabbers, Battle Spinners, transforming fruit vehicles and miniature plush. Digimon is also returning to TV screens in early 2014 in a new series called Digimon Fusion, which will be shown on CiTV. The toy range will focus on collectable battle fi gures in varying sizes and role- play items including the Digifusion Loader, which reads cards and unlocks sounds and phrases from the show. There will also be refreshes to the Power Rangers

Megaforce line-up with the new Gosei Ultimate Megazord, the Battle Gear Robo Blaster and the DX Ultra Sword being a few of the items new for Spring. A new Ben 10 Omniverse Omnitrix is also being developed with the new A.I. version available from January.
