Adebayor currently plays for Real Madrid where he is on loan from Manchester United, but like most Soccer stars he has made his rounds of playing for different clubs over the years. He started out with Sporting Club de Lomé and would be spotted and acquired by French club Metz, he would then sign with Monaco in 2003 and eventually move on to Arsenal, finally in 2009 he would be signed by Manchester City from which he is currently on loan to Real Ma- drid a club he has openly expressed an interest in staying with.

Before there was David Rudisha there was Wilson Kipketer. Kipketer who was the former world record holder in the 800 meters with a time of 1:41:11 sec and he still holds the record in the 800 meters indoor and the 1000meters race indoor as well. He is part of ‘Champions for Peace’ club, a group of 54 famous elite athletes committed to serving peace in the world through sport.


Originally from Kenya Wilson Kipketer would however changed nationalities to become Danish and compete for Denmark internationally. He won Track and Field News; Track and Field Athlete of the year several times over and is considered the most consistent and dominant 800 meters runner in history.
