Still the African record holder in the 100 meters with a time of 10.90 Glory Alozie is a hurdler and her specialty is the 100 meters hurdles. This Nigerian speedster who now represents Spain in interna- tional competitions is one of the most dominant short sprint hurdler to ever come out of Africa. She dabbled in the 100 meters and while representing Nigeria she became African champion twice and she still holds the African record at 100 meters hurdles also. Glory Alozie has had quite a career but has never made quite a mark in the major international meets like the Olympic Games but despite that she has a Silver medal in the 100 meters hurdles from the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games.

No.43 Chad Guy Bertrand le Clos Country:

South Africa Sport: Swimming

This young protégé has accomplished more in his career at age 18 as a swimmer than most athletes accomplish their whole athletic life. He has several Gold Medals to his credits already and is on the road to dominating the swimming world like Michael Phelps of the USA did in the Beijing Olympic Games. He won about five medals in the Inaugural Summer Youth Olympics which were held in Singapore.

Chad Le Clos was our Winner of the African Sports Monthly Inaugural Male African Athlete of the Year in 2010. His career is just beginning and it’s kind of scary to imagine what he would do with so many years ahead of him.
