Electronic Components Industry Association (ECIA)members have many opportunities to contribute to the industry and crack down on counterfeiting.


In a new initiative fromthe ECIA, the association is chairing a SAE committee charged with developing policies and procedures for authorized distributors tomitigate the risk of counterfeit products. The committee consists of authorized distributors, componentmanufacturers, both active and passive, Department of Defense (DoD), NASA, other government agencies and aviation/automotive customers.
