Standard project documents:
Request for Information (RFI) Lists the preliminary needs of the company as they are known at the time. The RFI is prepared by the customer and is sent to solution providers and vendors to request information about their services and products.
Request for Proposal (RFP) Prepared by the customer after the solution provider list is narrowed down to a few serious contenders. This document may list more detailed requirements, restrictions and timelines that the user wishes the bidders include in their proposals.
