SKATE TO A GREAT NEW PROGRAM
Rise, fall, rise again. No matter who you are now as a skater, we all started off the same way. We all took our first steps onto the ice and have been transformed by ice skating. We’ve forged friendships, become stronger and learned to fly. Now, with the new Learn to Skate USA program, starting out or mastering new skills is easier than ever.
Learn to Skate USA is the only ice skating program endorsed by U.S. Figure Skating, USA Hockey and US Speedskating and we’re on a mission to provide a fun and positive experience that will instill a lifelong love of skating. The curriculum is available at more than 1,000 rinks across the country and offers classes for aspiring skaters of all ages, interests and abilities, from the first-timer to the weekly skater to the winter Olympian. Learn to Skate USA gives participants the starting point to learn the foundational skills to pursue whichever specialized ice sport they are interested in.
“You can now market your program to a broader audience,” said Kimberly Berry, a Denver-based Learn to Skate USA business development specialist. “Before it was tailored to that figure skating audience, and here it’s going to have a broad appeal to the general public: hockey players, figure skaters, speedskaters. The fact we have all three [U.S. Olympic] national governing bodies on board, promoting this as the premier learn-to- skate program across the country, is fantastic.”
Learn to Skate USA is the next evolution of the popular Basic Skills Program that taught more than 2.5 million people to skate. Here’s why you should check it out:
