“HIIT WORK- OUTS GET ME IN PRESEASON
SHAPE. (HIIT: High Intensity Interval Training) Sometimes you just need to get in some form of shape to even have access to moving your body properly. These workouts give me the boost I need to get started as the season approaches. As I get into the season, I do a lot of plyometric work to get the spring in my jumps. I also work on this huge mechanical spinner to get the snap for my rotation. Away from the ice, stand-up paddleboarding is one of my favorite activities.”
MAIA: “Skating is a unique sport because it involves athleticism and artistry. When we’re not on the ice, we enjoy working on different projects that allow us to continue to be creative. We love making things and telling stories. That is why photography and creating videos for our YouTube channel are great outlets for us.”

ALEX: “The encouraging fact about pursuing a healthier life- style is that there are endless ways to go about it. As you make adjustments to your daily habits, it’s important to be consistent and come up with a plan that fits your personality. For long-term results, consistency is better than overdoing something and burning out. Set realistic goals and track change to add a layer of accountability in sticking to your lifestyle choice.”
