Health Screenings at REC Day

Thanks to a partnership between REC and Craig General Hospital, health screenings will be available to members during annual meeting. Hospital staff will perform screenings between the hours of 8 a.m. and 10 a.m.

Screenings available include: lipid panel (HDL, LDL, and triglycerides), PSA (prostate screening), blood sug- ar (glucose test), and pulse ox. Due to the high equip- ment cost for the lipid panel and PSA tests, a $5 charge will apply to each of those tests. All other screenings will be performed free of charge.

It is important those participating in the health screen- ings fast for at least 12 hours to ensure accurate re- sults.

Results will be mailed to participants in the days follow- ing annual meeting. ■

M

embers will gather September 19 at the Grove Civic Center for Northeast Oklahoma Electric

Cooperative’s 77th annual meeting. The civic center is located at the northwest corner of 18th and Main Streets in Grove. Due to anticipated heavy traffi c, members are asked to avoid the direct highway ap- proach to the civic center, altogether, in order to aid with traffi c fl ow.

These alternate routes will bring you behind the civic center and closest to the designated parking. Atten- dants will be stationed to assist and a free shuttle service will deliver attendees to the front of the civic center. Those with special needs will be required to have handicap stickers in place to use designated handicap parking. Due to its rough terrain, the park- ing area to the northwest of the civic center will be for cooperative employees only.
