Delaware County Historical Society The Delaware County Historical Society was organized in 1975 by a local group of people who wanted to preserve Delaware County’s history. The DCHS owns and operates the Mariee Wallace Museum, which is located in Jay, Oklahoma. It is a non-profi t organiza on, receiving 501(c)3 status in 1976.


The museum houses many books to aid individuals with research materials pertaining to genealogy and Oklahoma history.


During REC Day, the museum will have items from the gi shop, including books on Cherokee history, genealogy, and Oklahoma History. Specialty foods, such as huckleberry jam, pancake and muffi n mix, tea, and candy, will also be available for purchase.
