Wisconsin Investment Caster Acquires Northern Precision 威斯康辛精密铸造公司收购北方精密铸造公司
Wisconsin Precision Casting Corp., East Troy, Wis., announced its acquisition of Northern Precision Casting Corp., Lake Geneva, Wis. Northern Precision focuses on machinery and construc-
tion equipment, industrial tools and fluid handling system components in sizes from ounces to 30 lbs. Te company pours more than 100 alloys. Wisconsin Precision, which celebrated its 50-year an-
niversary in 2014, serves primarily manufacturers of food processing equipment, healthcare equipment and the OEM marketplace with castings up to 150 lbs. in more than 150 ferrous and nonferrous alloys. It has experienced significant growth over the years and the management sees this acquisi- tion as an important key to its future growth. “With the strengths and talents each operation brings to
the table, we feel there will be exciting possibilities for both our customers and employees,” said Cliff Fischer, co-owner and vice president of operations, Wisconsin Precision. “Te added capacity will allow Wisconsin Precision Casting to continue to grow and to serve our customers by delivering a quality product on time at a competitive price.” Northern Precision Casting will retain its name and
become a division of Wisconsin Precision Casting Corp. Te two plants are located within 19 miles of each other with more than 160,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing capability.

Asahi Holdings Purchases Canadian Precision Metalcaster 朝日控股公司收购加拿大精密铸造企业
Johnson Matthey PLC has announced the sale of its Ca-
nadian investment casting business, Johnson Matthey Preci- sion Castings, to Asahi Holdings Inc. of Japan. Te com- panies have come to an agreement in principle for Asahi to acquire Johnson Matthey’s gold and silver businesses in Salt Lake City, and Brampton, Ontario, Canada. Te Johnson Matthey investment castings operation, in St. Catharines, Ontario, is managed as a separate business reporting to the gold and silver business in Brampton and was included in the transaction, which is expected to close in March 2015. Once the transaction is complete, the company will
continue to operate out of St. Catharines, but under the name Niagara Investment Castings, a division of ASAHI Refining Canada Ltd. Te Niagara area casting business was started more than 55
years ago by Johnson Matthey at the current location, origi- nally to meet the need for a supplier of chrome and beryllium cast and forged components used in the resistance welding in- dustry. Today, the business in St. Catharines is one of Canada’s largest manufacturers of commercial investment castings, producing a wide range of ferrous and nonferrous castings for a diversified list of industrial customers worldwide.
